Flying WILD is a bird-focused curriculum targeted for grades 5-8 and created by the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. The Tippecanoe Audubon Society will be hosting this FREE workshop at the Koinonia Environmental Center located in Pierceton, IN.

Is easy to use
Works indoors or outdoors
Correlates with Common Core Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and Indiana State Standards
Develops students’ conceptual skills such as analysis, classification, description, estimation, evaluation, inference, hypothesis formation, and problem solving
Although targeted for grades 5-8, this curriculum is easily adapted to other grade levels. We invite classroom teachers, pre-service teachers, non-formal educators, and children/youth leaders (scouts, 4H, etc.) to participate in this workshop. PGP (Professional Growth Plan) points are available for classroom teachers.
Every educator who completes the workshop will leave with a curriculum guide full of activities, as well as a few surprises from the Tippecanoe Audubon Society to help get you started educating about birds!
