The Tippecanoe Audubon Society supports conservation and environmental education to promote appreciation, understanding, and preservation of birds, other wildlife, and diverse ecosystems for present and future generations.

Our membership is composed of businesses and individuals in the following Indiana counties: Cass, Fulton, Kosciusko, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Wabash, Whitley.

Ways to participate

Monthly Field Trips are normally scheduled on Saturday or Sunday mornings, we visit some of the more unique natural areas in our region — for birding, botanizing and wildlife viewing. Photo by Heather Harwood.

The Spring Bird Count is held every May. Participants count the number of bird species and individuals observed across the entirety of Kosciusko County. Photo by Larry Baumgardt.

TAS regularly hosts Programs that cover a wide range of interesting conservation topics.

An Audubon tradition, the Christmas Bird Count, was first conducted over a century ago. TAS has participated in the Christmas Bird Count since 1975, covering a specific 7.5-mile radius circle centered in Oswego, Kosciusko County.
